First he shook Brigitte Macron’s hand — then he shook the Twitterverse.

President Trump had another awkward handshake on Thursday — this time with France’s first lady, Brigitte Macron — and a GIF of the moment is already making the rounds on Twitter.

Trump and French President Emmanuel Macron notably shared a lengthy, bone-crushing handshake when they first met in May at the G7 summit in Italy.

But on Thursday, as France’s first couple welcomed Trump and wife Melania to Paris, the two leaders shared a simple, firm handshake — and it was Brigitte Macron who got caught in Trump’s now infamous “grab and yank” power grip.

Trump first kissed Brigitte Macron European-style, once on each cheek, before grasping both her hands for several seconds and jerking her left arm toward him.

Later, while visiting museums in Paris with the Macrons, Trump looked Brigitte Macron up and down before telling her, “You’re in such great shape” and then calling her “beautiful,” according to Agence France-Presse reporter Adam Plowright.

In footage later released of the moment, Trump appeared to be saying, “You’re in such good shape.”

Here’s how some people on Twitter reacted to the moments:

Trump has developed a reputation for greeting world leaders with awkward, lengthy handshakes — or once, in German Chancellor Angela Merkel’s case, no handshake at all.

While Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe visited the White House in February, Trump shook his hand for 19 seconds, patting it several times and drawing it closer.

Trump’s handshake with Supreme Court Justice Neil Gorsuch after he announced plans to nominate him also went viral, with many noting how Trump appeared to be tugging on the justice’s hand.
