It wasn’t the floral decorated floats that stole that show at the 127th Tournament of Roses Parade – this year, all eyes were on the sky.

Skywriters literally made headlines on Friday as multiple planes took to the sky to write out anti-Donald Trump messages.

“America is great! Trump is disgusting” and “Anybody but Trump” were spelled out over the parade route just as the last float of the day left the gate.

According to CNN, six planes were responsible for the writing.

It didn’t take long for parade-goers to snap pictures of the messages and post them on social media.

Air Sign, an aerial advertising company, proudly claimed credit for creating the anti-Trump messages, and live-tweeted the event from their company account.

“Good morning Pasadena, we have a surprise for you! Be sure to look up starting at 8:30am,” they tweeted ahead of the parade.

“Who’s ready to see some skywriting? We are about to steal the show!” they also wrote.

Although many onlookers tagged Trump in their tweets, the presidential hopeful has not commented on the afternoon’s events.

Trump rang in the New Year at the “All American New Year” party that broadcast live on Fox News for the countdown.

He took to Twitter as the clock struck midnight to wish his followers a Happy New Year and share a video of himself with his family – even planting a kiss on his wife, Melania Trump.
