Sean Spicer Passes Off President Trump’s ‘Covfefe’ Gibberish as Inside Joke But Twitter’s Not Buying It

Posted on

Of all the many, many attempts to make sense of the “covfefe” conundrum, Sean Spicer’s may have been the worst, according to Twitter.

At the White House press briefing on Wednesday, Spicer was asked if people should be concerned about President Trump‘s “incoherent” late-night tweet that read: “Despite the constant negative press covfefe.”

“Uh, no,” Spicer said, before going on to claim that the president meant to say the nation’s hottest new buzzword.

“The president and a small group of people know exactly what he meant,” Spicer told reporters without further explanation.

His defense was met with laughter from the press, with Twitter quickly following suit.

Spicey, hiding in the #covfefe.

If only Spicer had thought to seek covfefe among the bushes.
