Celebrities are all for the #BoycottHamilton movement — as long as they can finally score tickets to the hit Broadway show.
Following Donald Trump‘s controversial claim that Vice President-elect Mike Pence was “harassed” while attending the Friday evening showing of Hamilton, #BoycottHamilton became a trending topic on Twitter.
However, celebrities such as Emmy Rossum, Jillian Michaels and Patton Oswalt were quick to point out that the show, created by Lin-Manuel Miranda, isn’t exactly desperate for an audience, and they would happily take those unused tickets.

During a post-curtain call speech at New York’s Richard Rodgers Theatre, the Broadway cast of Hamilton addressed Pence directly and asked the audience not to boo, saying “we’re all sharing a story of love.”
“We welcome you, and we truly thank you for joining us here at Hamilton: An American Musical — we really do,” Brandon Victor Dixon — who plays former vice president Aaron Burr in the show — said. “We are the diverse America who are alarmed and anxious that your new administration will not protect us, our planet, our children, our parents, or defend us and uphold our inalienable rights, sir. But we truly hope this show has inspired you to uphold our American values, and work on behalf of all of us.”
Video of the speech quickly went viral online — with many weighing in as to whether Trump’s harassment claims were justified.
