President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama grace the cover of the October issue of Essence. But it’s a photo inside the magazine that has everyone talking.

The Obamas face one another in the sweet shot, holding hands and nearly touching their heads together while standing in front of a window inside the White House.

It’s a romantic image that looks like it could be a promo poster for Southside With You – the critically-acclaimed film that depicts their romantic first date.

Once the pic hit the Internet on Wednesday, fans were quick to praise the intimate moment.

While this new picture of the Obamas may inspire many a tweet, it’s important to remember it’s not the only bit of #RelationshipGoals coming from the couple over Barack’s eight years in office.

They’ve never been shy about showing their affection for one another – from a moment on the “kiss cam” at a U.S. men’s basketball game and their loving embrace after he was reelected in 2012 (an image that became one of the most retweeted of all time) to Barack’s star-studded surprise 55th birthday party thrown by Michelle.

The special collector’s edition of Essence hits newsstands Friday. It includes “a 12-page salute to the first couple’s finest moments as well as an interview with the Obamas about the their time in the White House and the legacy they hope to leave behind on the nation.

“I can unequivocally say that America is better off now than we were when we came into office,” the president tells the magazine. “By almost every economic measure, we’re better off. But having said that, we still have a lot of work to do.”
