If you thought teaching an old dog a new trick was hard, try teaching captive bears, who have been hand-delivered every meal, how to live in the wild.

That is exactly what Jeff Watson is attempting to do on Animal Planet’s Project Grizzly.

An experienced bear handler, Watson wants to give two of his beloved captive bears, which he rescued as cubs after their mother was shot, a chance to live out in nature. To do this means teaching these giant animals, who are used to a cushy life, how to survive on their own and master habits that come naturally to wild bears.

In this sneak peek above of Project Grizzly‘s third episode, we find out 700-pound grizzly bears don’t always make the easiest students, but Watson is dedicated to giving his furry friends a different kind of life.

Will Watson succeed in releasing his two bear buddies into the wild for good? Watch Project Grizzly on Animal Plant on Saturdays at 10/9c and find out.
