It’s a fact: Good things happen in Australia. (Hello, Hemsworth brothers.)

This was made even more clear over the weekend as the Noosa Festival of Surfing kicked off in Noosaville, where many avid surfers said cowabunga with their canines in tow – on their surfboards!

Believed to be the world’s largest surfing event, it’s only polite that pooches would receive an invitation to celebrate the area’s point-break waves. And these dogs – well, they make waves of their own: Our jaws dropped when we spotted the longboard skills of this quintet of pooches – count ‘em in the photo to the left! – who seem to ride with little-to-no fear. (Can the Frenchie get a leadership award, please?)

But these guys weren’t the only ones living the dream. Check out more shots of pups hitting the surf:

Man’s best friend, indeed.

Just a guy and his doggy – and paddle!

Surfbort. Enough said.

Third wheel? Nah. Their dates always end like this.
