People make mistakes. Guess what? Animals do too! Thankfully humans created the camera, so we can capture these goofs on film and always remember that nobody's perfect.
While everyone loves a good animal pic, The Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards are dedicated to the art of furry and funny photos.
Each year the group holds an open call seeking hilarious, natural wildlife photos for its competition, and hundreds answer with their best shots.
The awards committee has just announced its 2016 finalists and they are comedy gold. Check out some of the contenders!

Like any competition, there are a few rules. For the past 99 years, only unmanipulated photos which are taken in the wild (no pets or captive animals) are accepted. Photos where the subject appears harassed or threatened by the photographer are also not allowed.
Luckily for the photographer of this picture, the only thing harassing this bird was a particularly slippery fish.

Of course the photos must be funny as well! The Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards are out to show it's in every creature's nature to look a little goofy sometimes. You might even see some of yourself in these photos.

Along with getting a laugh, the awards also care about conservation and use this competition as a way to show the array of diverse, silly, endearing, beautiful and accident-prone critters in the world that need our protection and respect.

Unfortunately, the competition is closed for this year. But now that you've seen the caliber of comedy the contest is expecting, you can start working on your 2017 entry.
