Powerpuff Girls Kittens with Neurological Condition Find Super Strength in Wheelchairs

Updated

Meet Blossom, Bubbles and Buttercup.

You may know them as the Powerpuff Girls, and that’s exactly what this trio of brave kittens was named after.

All three of these sweeties have Cerebellar Hypoplasia, a neurological condition which causes jerky and uncoordinated movements. The CH present in these felines is so severe, they can barely walk by themselves.

The kittens are being cared for by The Kitten Rescue Nursery, where they were previously known as The Wobblies until one volunteer created something to get these cats on their paws. The volunteer constructed three special wheelchairs for these fighters, which allow them to move around on their own and also serve as physical therapy to build up much needed motor skills.

Thanks to their new wheels, the kittens are stronger than ever and are resembling their namesakes more every day. Since using the wheelchairs, Blossom, Bubbles and Buttercup have gone from baby cats who could barely move on the ground to highly engaged kittens who can lift their heads, play with their front paws, and use their back legs to itch.

Now that the trio is getting stronger, they will soon be looking for a special foster or forever home that is open and prepared to take on an animal with extra needs, which means that these kittens have even more love to give.
