How did Jenna Elfman spend her holiday weekend? Puppy-proofing!
Elfman and her two young sons, Story and Easton, spotted the spaniel mix at Tailwaggers pet store in Hollywood, where L.A. Animal Rescue was having one of its regular adoption events. Though 4-year-old Story had his heart set on a Chihuahua, with help from an adoption specialist, the trio decided on a different dog – the “very mellow” mutt, according to Su Roos, director of the rescue.
Elfman’s 4-year-old named the cream-colored canine Girly – and it sounds like their life has been transformed into the Girly Show.
“My husband [Bodhi Elfman] woke to another girl in our bed this morning,” she wrote on WhoSay. “Sorry, hon.”
Relaxing is something that Girly already does well. “This puppy will be great growing up in a kid-hectic atmosphere,” Roos tells PEOPLE.
The dog’s mother, Winter, was found wandering the Granada Hills, Calif., area as a stray in March. She and two other puppies from her litter, Icy and Snowy, are still available for adoption. Click here to learn more.
