Henry Lizardlover, a lizard photographer and author, takes pictures of his iguanas in humanlike poses. These 11-year-old lizards, named Larry and Laura, sit on store-bought purple chairs in front of the Hollywood sign.

Iguanas can grow to be up to 6 feet in length, mostly tail. The males like to show off and display lots of attitude, often bobbing their heads as they stroll around.

REPTILE ROCK STAR
Lizardlover’s best poser was Hasbro, one of his first iguanas. “If you saw how calm and willing he was to sit and hold the guitar – it makes you really appreciate an animal like that,” he says.

Spaghetti isn’t really on the menu for iguanas! Lizardlover says the reptiles don’t each much, but when they do it’s mostly vegetables like collard greens and green beans.

HAVE LIZARDS, WILL TRAVEL
“I can take certain lizards that I have and bring them out to busy public places anywhere,” Lizardlover says. “They’re very calm and relaxed, all the body language of an at-ease lizard.”
