If Basketball Wives star Evelyn Lozada ever seems like a handful, try two of her.
“Everyone says [my dog Pucci] is like me. She has this really strong personality,” Lozada tells PEOPLE. “She’s just very feisty, very playful. I thought that by now she would calm down, but no. She runs around the house at high speed and in circles.”
A Mother’s Day gift from fiancé Chad Ochocinco, Pucci has taken on some of the football star’s traits, too.
“She’s a lover,” says Lozada, who returns for the fourth season of Basketball Wives, premiering Feb. 20. “She wants a lot of attention. Kind of like him, I guess.”
Since joining the couple’s household, which also includes Yorkie Queenie and Pomeranian Puffy, Pucci has become a joint project for the pair, down to choosing her name.
“Chad calls me Pucci,” Lozada says, a reference to Jennifer Lopez’s character in the 2007 film El Cantante. “When we were talking about it, I said, ‘I think I’m going to call her Pucci.’ And he thought that was cute.”
But while anyone who follows Lozada on Twitter can account for how much she loves her furbabies, she does draw the line at including them in her upcoming nuptials.
“I don’t think that’s going to happen,” she says. “Chad has all these big ideas, like ‘We need animals at our wedding,’ and I’m like, ‘What are you talking about?’ No, that’s not going to happen.”
