Cats aren’t usually fans of water, and neither is Chris Pratt – at least when the water is hot.
The Moneyball actor faced criticism this week after posting a series of Tweets about finding a new home for his senior cat, Mrs. White. He responded, this time with more than 140 characters, with a post on his blog titled, “A message to all the ‘cat people’ on twitter flipping out cause I gave up our cat for adoption.”
Pratt said he had been getting “harassing” messages from followers who viewed his methods as cruel and insensitive, and begrudgingly felt he had to explain why he had to rehome the aging cat he once shared with wife Anna Faris.
“Bottom line, and not that this is any of your f—ing business weirdos, but my wife and I want to start a family and we ABSOLUTELY CANNOT have an animal that s—s all over the house,” he writes. “Sorry. If you are a parent you will understand.”
Luckily, the Twitter strategy has worked for the kitty, who has found a new home with an owner who is a fan of felines. “Her name is Meghan and as far as I could tell she is a perfectly reasonable, sweet and friendly cat lover,” Pratt writes. “I met her to make sure she wasn’t a weirdo before handing the cat over.”
