Attention all cat people! Are you bored of trying to converse with non-feline fanatics? Are you looking for an outlet to unleash all you crazy kitty ideas? Than mark you calendars for CatConLA.
Just like the name suggests, this is a Los Angeles-based convention and symposium that focuses on the Internet cat culture so many of us adore. Back for it’s second year, CatConLa will be at The Reef on June 25 and 26 and will feature oodles of enticing animal attractions.
Come dressed in your favorite set of whiskers and enjoy a 3,000 sq ft kitten adoption village, an escape the room experience that requires feline intuition and booths upon booths of the most unique cat-centric goodies you can get your paws on.
Of course, it wouldn’t be a convention without a few celebrity appearances, and CatConLA’s schedule is stacked with kitty culture experts, an entire cat video film festival and meet and greets with some seriously famous faces. Internet darlings Lil BUB, Pudge and Nala cat will be stopping by, along with the original Catwoman Julie Newmar.
So if you joke with your mom that she will be getting grandcats before grandkids or if you have more sets of fake cat ears than human-sized hats, let your freak feline flag at CatConLA, where everyone is of the same litter, and won’t get weirded out if you meow at them.
This years, $1 from every ticket sold to the convention will be donated to FixNation, with extra funds going to Lil BUB’s Big Fund at the ASPCA and Kitten Rescue. To get more information at CatConLA, visit their website.
