Adopt Me! Senior Sweetie John John Lost His Owner, But Not His Positive Outlook

Updated

SPCA of Texas

Home: Some pets never have one to call their own. We’d like to help change that by introducing you to an extraordinary, adoptable pet every week. Today, in honor of Adopt a Senior Pet Month, meet John John, a senior cat available through the SPCA of Texas.

This handsome, 7-year-old Russian blue mix is a gentle giant who is super-sweet, friendly, mild-tempered and affectionate — so why is he without a home? Sadly, his owner passed away and he came to the shelter on Sept. 22, and from the sound of things, he’s adjusted amazingly well to his new situation.

“He is not shy and loves making new friends,” reads a bio. “He wastes no time introducing himself and is eager for your attention and petting. He especially loves being brushed. Pamper him to your heart’s desire (he is a prince, after all)!”

John John gets along well with his feline roommate and spends most of his time relaxing, napping, playing with toys, and getting attention — chin and back rubs are preferred! — from staff and volunteers.
