Home: Some pets never have one to call their own. We’d like to help change that by introducing you to an extraordinary, adoptable pet every week. Today, meet Fae, a 10-year-old Boxer mix rescued by the Downtown Dog Rescue of Pasadena, California.

Here’s what’s known about Fae: she and her sisters never lived in a traditional home; all of them formerly “worked” at a mattress factory.

Their owner, who was kind man but for some reason could no longer care for the dogs he loved, brought them all to a south Los Angeles shelter where they quickly became staff favorites.

Three of them were adopted, except Fae — most likely because of her age. Take a look past her graying hair and you’ll see a sweet dog who’s ready to find her forever.

“Fae is a simple gal,” reads her bio. “She is comfortable with herself and is curious about her surroundings. Fae is confident and sweet. Fae enjoys the sunshine and sitting with her human. She loves to be groomed and is in good shape for 10 years old.”

The rescue says she walks easily on leash, is quiet and very well-mannered.
