Home. Some pets never have one to call their own. We’d like to help change that by introducing you to an extraordinary adoptable pet every week. Today, we’d like you to meet Sapphire, a baby blue nose pit bull who was abandoned outside a Los Angeles Petco store when she was just a few weeks old.
Thankfully, the adorable puppy was scooped up quickly by the L.A.-based Tails of the City Animal Rescue. Now 5-months-old, Sapphire’s currently being fostered by a volunteer in an apartment with two dachshunds.
“I can’t say enough good things about her,” says the rescue’s founder MaryAnn Lagana.”She’s very energetic, she listens to basic commands, gets along with all dogs big and small, and cats.”
Treat-motivated and always up for an adventure, Sapphire would be the perfect pup for a person with an active lifestyle.
“She loves hiking in Runyon Canyon, walks well on a leash and is really good in cars,” says Lagana, adding that the dog is crate trained and potty trained.
