Home. Some pets never have one to call their own. We’d like to help change that by introducing you to an extraordinary adoptable pet every week. Today, meet Stella, a 2-year-old Lab who would thrive in a boisterous family atmosphere.
Two months ago, a good Samaritan brought this playful and loving pup to the Mississippi Animal Rescue League with a horrible problem: A collar made of nylon boat rope had become embedded into her neck due to neglect.
It took a few weeks for Stella to recover, but now the beautiful pup is ready to find her forever home. This energetic dog would do best in a home with lots of life. She has a friendly disposition and is great with kids.
“Stella is a great all around dog,” says rescue coordinator Samantha Guillot Page, “and she is well suited for just about any family!”
Friendly with other animals, the pooch is also very attentive to people and would quickly learn commands and tricks if someone would teach her. “The perfect owner would be someone that would have enough time to spend with her and a nice backyard for her to exercise in,” adds Page.
If you think Stella is the dog for you, contact the shelter at (601) 969-1631.
