Home: Some pets never have one to call their own. We’d like to help change that by introducing you to an extraordinary, adoptable pet every week. Today, meet Olive, a 1-year-old pit bull mix who came to the SPCA of Texas in December when she was given up by her owner.
Although her family loved her very much, they didn’t have enough time to care for this 36 lb. girl. Look closely at this pretty pup and you’ll notice two adorable things: she has the cutest little triangle ears and an even more precious under bite.
“Many times her bottom teeth stick out, which adds to her charm!” reads her bio.
Olive is an extremely sweet girl with a very friendly disposition. “While she is young and has plenty of energy for walking or playing, she also can be very calm and will enjoy just sitting with you so that you can pet her,” says her bio. “In fact, her previous owner called her a ‘cuddle bug’ because she loves to cuddle with her people.”
She’s really smart and already knows several commands including sit, come and down. With a little work, she could learn many more.
Play is also a very important part of Olive’s life. “Her previous owner noted that she is friendly with everyone including children and that she enjoys learning tricks for treats, playing chase, fetch and tug, and that she really loves toys — especially those squeaky ones!” the bio notes. “Tug is also one of her favorite games to play, and she loves to run really fast!”
