Lil Peep‘s management have broken their silence for the first time since the rapper’s death to announce that a collection of official merchandise will go on sale to celebrate his memory.

The emo rapper (real name Gustav Åhr) died on Nov. 15 from a suspected drug overdose, although a definitive cause of death will not be determined until full toxicology results are published. He was 21.

Now, the late musician’s management have posted on his official Instagram account to announce that a merchandise collection will go on sale after huge demand from his fans.

“To all Lil Peep fans. Peep has the most amazing fans and we love you all,” the post read.

“Merchandise was not something we were ready to release so soon because we were focused on grieving, and organizing a celebration of Gus’s life. However, we have been overwhelmed with requests from loving fans hoping to support Gus and his family by purchasing legitimate Peep merchandise. To ensure authenticity, all official communications about Lil Peep merchandise, music, or any other art forms, will come from Lil Peep’s verified accounts on Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook.”

On Monday, it was suggested that the powerful opioid drug fentanyl may have played a role in rapper Lil Peep‘s death.

TMZ reports that Tucson police are investigating whether fentanyl – the drug also thought to have played a role in Prince’s death – may have factored into Peep’s suspected overdose.

Police are said to have received “multiple tips” that Peep was in possession of “incredibly toxic drugs laced with the potent opioid.” The Tucson Police Department have not yet confirmed the reports.
