What’s better than free in-flight movies? An impromptu performance by a musical legend mid-flight!

During a recent Delta flight from Tampa to San Francisco, saxophonist Kenny G turned the aisle of the aircraft into his stage and serenaded travelers at 39,000 feet with a surprise show.

The star, 60, offered to perform some of his famous ballads if passengers contributed $1,000 to a Delta-facilitated fundraiser for Relay for Life. Within five minutes, about $2,000 had been raised for the charity.

The musician reportedly happened to be sitting next to off-duty flight attendant Jane Mitchell onboard the aircraft that day who had lost her daughter, Gretchen, to brain cancer at the age of 30 and has been working with the charity to help raise money for the American Cancer Society.
