Kanye West has never been shy about backing artists he feels passionately about (remember his infamous rant claiming “Beyoncé had one of the best videos of all time” at the 2009 VMAs?), and now he’s championing for Frank Ocean.

Earlier this month, news broke that Ocean’s two 2016 albums, Blonde and Endless, are ineligible for consideration for this year’s Grammy Awards as they were not submitted within the deadline. West isn’t having that and went on a rant about the subject during his Saturday night show at the Oakland, California, stop of his Saint Pablo Tour.

“The album I listen to the most this year is Frank Ocean’s album,” he says in a clip from the concert. “If his album is not nominated in no categories, I’m not coming to the Grammys. As artists we gotta come together.”

At the start of his rant, he can be heard comparing the situation to Lady Gaga, for whom the Grammys were flexible about the dates in which her album and singles were released back in 2009 in order to nominate her based on her rising fame.

This isn’t the first time the 39-year-old rapper has praised Ocean. In August, West took to Twitter to call for Ocean’s songs to be played on the radio in order to “make the world better.”

“If anyone at radio really loves music … Come together and pick your favorite Frank Ocean song and play it at least 10 times a day,” he wrote.
