A reported member of Justin Bieber‘s security team has been charged with a DUI for his involvement in a crash that injured two Miami, Florida, police officers, a spokesperson for the Miami-Dade Police Department confirmed to PEOPLE.

Michael Arana was charged with multiple counts of leaving the scene of a crash, as well as one count of driving under the influence on Thursday. The Miami Herald first reported the news.

Arana allegedly crashed into a police cruiser in the early morning hours on Thursday while speeding. He then fled the scene, before driving over a median and being stopped by two other officers.

According to the police report, Arana admitted to police that he had been drinking, and crumpled drink receipts were found in his jean pockets indicating that he closed his tab just after midnight.

The officers injured in the crash were taken to local hospitals with back and head injuries, but are now recovering at home, said the police spokesperson.
