Amid reports that Kanye West and Kim Kardashian West are working through “a tense time” (but not divorcing), the couple’s friend John Legend is “rooting for them to get better.”

During an appearance on Watch What Happens Live Wednesday, Legend told Andy Cohen that he and wife Chrissy Teigen are supporting the rapper in the wake of his hospitalization.

“We’re just rooting for Kanye to get better, to feel better,” he said. “We’re all fans of him and friends of him and we want him to be well and be able to do what he loves to do.”

Legend also confirmed that he’s seen Kardashian West since her robbery in Paris this past October, adding, “She’s good, you know, it’s tough.”

“It’s tough to deal with all of this,” he said.

Legend previously reacted to West’s hospitalization during an interview on CBS This Morning, saying, “I was concerned by what I saw, so hopefully he’s getting some rest and some time to figure things out.”

Things got a little lighter when Cohen asked Legend to throw on a blonde wig and impersonate his wife in several of her infamous Twitter feuds.

With help from The Daily Show host Trevor Noah, Legend jokingly embodied his wife and held a baby doll version of daughter Luna as a prop.
