They’ve been friends for almost two decades after working together on Saturday Night Live, but Will Ferrell and Amy Poehler can’t quite agree on how they first met.
“I probably stalked your table at an SNL after-party,” says Poehler, 45.
Ferrell, 49, recalls things a little differently.
“I remember exactly what happened. You welcomed yourself to sit down at my table. You ordered $80 worth of food and drink, and then you said you had to leave and you never came back,” he jokes. “A little dine and dash.”

Despite their first encounter, the duo has remained friends and have teamed up for the upcoming comedy The House about two parents who open up an underground casino to help pay for their daughter’s college tuition.
“Who would have known we would have worked on something so many years later?” says Poehler.
Ferrell agrees adding, “Let bygones be bygones.”
The House hits theaters on Friday, June 30.
