Hey girl, you should be America’s next president.

Ryan Gosling is not afraid to show his love for the opposite sex. The Nice Guys actor, 35, appears on the cover of ES Magazine this week, and his corresponding interview is full of admiration for women.

The father of two daughters with wife Eva Mendes goes as far as to say females are superior.

“I think women are better than men,” Gosling said. “They are stronger, more evolved. You can tell especially when you have daughters and you see their early stages, they are just leaps and bounds beyond boys immediately.”

In fact, Gosling thinks it’s about time a woman was in the White House.

“I think [America] needs a woman’s touch. I’ve always liked women more,” he said. “I was brought up by my mother and older sister. I found my way into dance class. My home life now is mostly women. They are better than us. They make me better.”

The heartthrob’s lifelong exposure to women also opened his eyes to the struggles they face.

Gosling says it’s time men feel the objectification that females are exposed to on a regular basis.

“I grew up with women so I’ve always been aware of it,” he said. “When my mother and I walked to the grocery store, men would circle the block in cars. It was very scary, especially as a young boy. Very predatory; a hunt.”

Although they’re too young for that kind of attention, Gosling and Mendes, 42, have been protecting their daughters from the media since before their births. The couple managed to keep both pregnancies secret for months and do not expose their children to the media.

Nonetheless, Gosling is enjoying fatherhood.

Gosling recently told PEOPLE, “It sounds so clichéd, but I never knew that life could be this fun and this great.”
