“She’s pretty authentic – that’s what’s so wonderful about her,” Moore, 54, told PEOPLE at the L’Oreal Women of Worth event in N.Y.C. on Wednesday. “I think what you see is what you get. You see it on screen and you see it in person.”
Lawrence, 25, and Moore, 54, wrapped The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part 2 – the final film in the franchise – last year, but the cast reunited for the recent worldwide press tour and remain pals.
“It was a great group of people,” Moore says. “It was so fun to be with them always and it was nice to have this last little press tour to be able to see everybody once again.”

But Moore isn’t the only star to gush about Lawrence.
Willow Shield – who plays Lawrence’s little sister in the movies – previously told PEOPLE they grew close while filming the series.
“We started with me being really young and her being like my big sister,” Shield, 15, told PEOPLE. “As I got older she became more like a best friend to me.”
