Nearly 20 years after shining in Pretty Woman, Julia Roberts is preparing to return to her box-office perch with Eat, Pray, Love.

In the big-screen adaptation of Elizabeth Gilbert’s 2006 bestseller – a globetrotting memoir following a divorcée traveling to Italy, India and Bali in search of fulfillment – Roberts divorces Billy Crudup, rebounds with James Franco and finds an exotic lover in Javier Bardem.

“I think she has never looked more beautiful,” director Ryan Murphy told PEOPLE of the movie star. “She is so happy and fulfilled in her personal life – and it shows.”

Eat, Pray, Love hits theaters on Aug. 13.
