As shown in video posted to his Instagram feed, the actor surprised audiences coming out to see the film at various New York, Orlando, and Walt Disney World locations.

Gad was spotted at the AMC Theatre on 34th Street in midtown Manhattan, stealing popcorn from an attendee in the middle row and giving a woman a “warm hug” for her birthday. “No, don’t cry. You’re embarrassing both of us,” he joked.

The LeFou actor also popped over to the Regal Cinema on 42nd Street to “pump up a crowd that clearly was already pumped.”

Gad then emerged at the Disney Springs AMC location in Orlando, Fla., leading the audience in a sing-a-long of “Gaston” from the movie. “You guys are clearly not disappointing,” he said.

But, his “favorite surprise of all” was coming out to see dinner guests at the Be Our Guest Restaurant at the Walt Disney World Resort. Gad performed the eatery’s eponymous song from Beauty and the Beast as he weaved in between tables.
