It was a family affair Sunday for friendly exes Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin.

The former couple were photographed enjoying a Mother’s Day lunch in Los Angeles with their children Moses, 9, and Apple, who turns 11 Thursday.

The actress, 42, was seen wearing a blue printed dress, sunglasses and a ponytail as she headed inside a Santa Monica restaurant, while the Coldplay frontman, 38, strolled from his car in a white shirt, jeans and a smiley face hat.

The Goop entrepreneur also topped off her Sunday celebration with a sweet note penned by Moses, which she shared on Instagram late Sunday evening.

“You are wonderful because you always help me feed and play with the bunnies,” the letter begins in her young son’s scribbly penmanship. “My favorite part of the day is when we watch the bunnies run around the garden.”

Momo, as he signs off in the note, also thanked his mom for her lessons in running a web business: “Thank you for teaching me how to start a website I wanted to have one too.”

Although Martin and the Iron Man actress are exploring new relationships, they have continued to put family first and co-parent together in the wake of their split. They finalized the divorce in April.

After separating in May 2013, according to court documents, the pair have taken family vacations, supported their kids side-by-side at school events and dined out together.

The “Fix You” singer also bought a home in Paltrow’s Los Angeles neighborhood in August 2014 in order to make joint custody of their kids more simple.

When Paltrow announced their conscious uncoupling on her website in March 2014, she wrote that they are “parents first and foremost.”

She added, “We are, however, and always will be a family, and in many ways we are closer than we have ever been.”
