Goldie Hawn is proud of her man.
Hawn stepped out with Kurt Russell at the Hollywood Hollywood premiere of Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 on Wednesday night. The longtime couple was all smiles as they walked the red carpet and posed for photos together.
And the actress couldn’t help but gush about Russell, who plays Chris Pratt‘s father in the film, while talking to reporters. “I’m always proud of him, and I’m proud of him with this [film],” Hawn, 71, told Entertainment Tonight. “But I haven’t seen the movie yet!
“She’s honest,” Russell, 66, agreed. “He’s never bad,” Hawn added.
The couple also revealed that a few of their grandchildren were also in attendance. “Our littlest grandson, he decided he wanted to wear a tuxedo tonight,” shared Hawn.
The night also marked Kate Hudson’s 38th birthday. So what did Hawn get her daughter for the big day? An orange tree. “I like to get something that will last,” she said.
The next day, Russell sat down with Extra’s Mario Lopez, where he opened up about how he and Hawn have made their marriage work for all these years. “Look, I’ve said this for 34 years, I don’t think Goldie and I, in real terms, are any different than any other couple; we go through all the same things,” he explained.
“But the important thing of who the two people are in a relationship is what you have to deal with. There’s gonna be ups and downs and sideways and everything else … I just think after 34 years you’re gonna have experienced every emotion that you can together,” he added.
“I think that love conquers all and there have been times where I felt like, she’s like, ‘No this can’t go on,’ and you know, and vice versa, it’s been the same thing and I can’t, this can’t go on. I think that’s the same for everybody… you come out the other side,” he continued.
Of course, Russell also credited his wife with making the relationship work. “Goldie is just spectacular, she is great, she is spectacular, she is the right girl for me,” he said. “I left this morning and things were going good so, I hope it’s that way when I get back!”
