Fiery special effects, a classic sports car, the hero wearing a leather bomber jacket and rocking a mullet – so far it sounds like classic David Hasselhoff. But The Hoff’s new music video has all that and more, much more. It has dinosaurs.

In the video released Thursday, the former Knight Rider and Baywatch star, 62, sings “True Survivor,” the theme song for a film called Kung Fury.

The movie is a mashup of ’80s cop movies, kung-fu action, comedy and time travel, and the money to make it was raised on Kickstarter. All $630,019.

The catchy, synth-heavy song was shared on Twitter by Jared Leto who wrote, “Say THANK YOU for putting this in your life.”

We have to agree with him.

Kung Fury will be released at the end of May.
