Amy Schumer is letting her fans in on a very private moment in her life.
The actress and comedienne, 36, on Wednesday took to her Instagram to post a video showing moments from her recent top-secret wedding to Chris Fischer. The two tied the knot in a private ceremony in Malibu earlier in Feb., exchanging vows in front of about 80 people, including Jennifer Aniston, Jake Gyllenhaal, Jennifer Lawrence, Larry David and David Spade. Days later, Schumer announced the surprise wedding, sharing photos from the day on Instagram.
The video shows happy moments from the event, including excerpts of Schumer and Fischer’s vows to each other.
“People are wondering, ‘Why the rush?’ and it’s because I truly cannot wait another second to be your wife — I love you,” Schumer is seen saying.
“I love you Amy,” Fischer says in his vows. “You bring happiness and joy to every part of my life. You are the best thing to ever happen to me.”
“Thank you @jeffandmollyweddings for this beautiful video and @thegetdownboys for the dope ass rendition of ‘rainbow connection’ and my friends and fam my husband!,” Schumer captioned the video.
The Trainwreck star recently opened up about her surprise wedding on the Sirius XM show You Up with Nikki Glaser, revealing she made a sex joke in her full wedding vows.
“In my vows I go, ‘But I promise I’ll keep going down on you, even though everyone tells me I won’t,’” she continued, laughing. “And his were like, heckling me too. He was like, ‘The other day I lost a tennis match and you called me a f—— loser.’ It was all like awful s—.”
The actress also said she’s happy she and her new husband married early in their relationship. “Part of the thing that’s good about us getting married so quickly is that we’re so in love,” she explained. “Every girl I know, if they get proposed to they’re like, ‘Oh now? Now that I can’t have kids!’ ”
Relationship rumors began swirling around Schumer and the chef and cookbook author after they were photographed together in November of last year, chatting over a dinner in New York City. Schumer’s rep declined to comment on whether their relationship was romantic at the time.
Fischer lives on Beetlebung Farm in Martha’s Vineyard, where he grew up and wrote the James Beard Award-winning Beetlebung Farm Cookbook. His restaurant Beach Plum was touted by Esquire magazine in 2013 as a favorite of Barack and Michelle Obama.
Schumer previously split from Ben Hanisch in May of last year. The two were together for over a year and met on a dating app around November 2015.
