Forget a shotgun wedding: Amber Heard is more than happy just toting the shotgun.
On screen, that is.
Turns out, she won’t need to find something borrowed or blue for them.
“I would always prefer to shoot the gun than wear a wedding dress,” Heard said at a Beverly Hills press conference to trump the film, in which she plays a spy – opposite Kevin Costner – who’s got her fair share of trigger-happy predilections.
“It is far more interesting to me,” she explained.
The actress, 27, added that her character, the bleached-blond Vivi, “can be seductive, but that is not where her power is. Her power is skill and knowledge and the ability to do her job well. Being seductive was just another side of her.”
And although Heard may not be raring to walk down the aisle onscreen, she is prepping for some real-life I-dos: The actress recently got engaged to Depp, the two having met on the set of the 2011 film The Rum Diary.
“She’s a great match for him and his individuality,” a source close to Depp, 50, told PEOPLE. “She’s a free spirit.”
And one, apparently, with a bull’s-eye aim.
