A man found his wedding ring wrapped around a carrot three years after he lost it while gardening.

The wife of the retired 82-year-old man from the western town of Bad Muenstereifel, Germany, assured him that the ring would eventually reappear, WDR reports.

It was just six months after her death that the ring was found embedded in a carrot.

He said it was true that sometimes “you reap what you sow,” according to the news outlet.

The man, whose name was not released, had recently celebrated his golden wedding anniversary of 50 years of marriage.
