Interior designer Taylor Spellman jokes that she and Million Dollar Listing New York’s Ryan Serhant are “basically the same person,” sans one particular characteristic.

“He just has a little more gray hair,” Spellman tells PEOPLE.

Spellman first met Serhant at a company holiday party where she wooed the newly married real estate pro into hiring her. “After several cocktails I told him that I should design and stage all of his projects,” she says. “The next day he called and asked me to stage a 3 million dollar apartment that had been on the market for 2 years with no offers. I completely reimagined the space and it sold the next week, 50K over the asking price. I’ve been his go-to gal ever since!”

Now the interiors talent stars in her own series, Yours, Mine or Ours, alongside Shah’s of Sunset’s Reza Farahan. Each week, the two battle it out to find a suitable home for couples that appear on the show. Spellman suggests a remodel for their current spaces, while real estate agent Farahan searches for a new property that might entice them. In this exclusive clip from tonight’s two-part finale, the hosts work with an Atlanta couple that’s having a hard time seeing eye-to-eye.

The experience has been a “crazy” one for Spellman as she adjusts to the limelight. “Just being recognized in general — that’s been a change!” she says. But the impact she’s making is what matters most to her. “Recently a woman came up to me and said, ‘You’re such an inspiration for women in business.’ That really meant a lot to me.”

Although she has plenty of collaboration plans with Serhant in the works, there’s another Bravo star’s digs Spellman admits she’d love to take on.

“I would love to design Sonja Morgan’s home,” she says. “I would love to redo everything and give it a complete energy shift so she can start this next chapter of her life with a clean slate. One’s home should be one’s sanctuary and that place needs a face-lift!”

The two-part finale of Yours, Mine or Ours airs November 17 at 10:00 p.m. EST and 10:30 p.m. EST on Bravo.
