The new Wonder Woman, starring Gal Gadot, Chris Pine and Robin Wright, has already brought on a major girl power moment and it only hit theaters Friday. Twitter is filled with moving tributes from little girls and positive reviews from superhero movie fans, and theaters are selling out women-only screenings. Even celebs like Viola Davis, who shared a photo of her daughter Genesis in Wonder Woman gear, are getting in on the excitement.
Another marker of the blockbuster’s impact can be found on eBay, where Wonder Woman fans new and old and comic junkies have been showing off their super power: shopping.
Sales of Wonder Woman merchandise have more than doubled in the month leading up to the movie’s release and show no signs of slowing down, according to a spokesperson for the online marketplace.

And it’s not just new movie merch that fans are snapping up. The most remarkable (and expensive!) piece of paraphernalia on the site is currently a “Wonder Woman #1” collectible comic book, selling for $150,000. (The issue sold for 10 cents when it was released in 1942.) According to the seller, the collector’s item, “at nearly 75 years old…features qualities and characteristics of a perfectly stored copy.”
Other copies of the first issue are asking $21,500 and $17,500. Wonder Woman fans with a slight more modest budget can scour the 122,608 “Buy It Now” listings currently on the site for the perfect way to pay tribute to the immortal Amazon.
