TLC is debuting a new series you probably shouldn’t watch with your kids.
It’s not R-rated in any sense. But if they catch a glimpse of Steph Curry‘s daughter’s tricked-out custom playhouse, you’re going to be getting a very different Christmas list this year.
Playhouse Masters premieres Tuesday August 23, and Curry and his family will star in the first episode.
The show promises the most fantastical, over-the-top structures just for kids, as designed by the goofy and charming hosts, husband-and-wife Tyson and Audy Leavitt. The pair own Charmed Playhouses, a family-run business that specializes in creating completely custom buildings for clients who are more interested in secret passageways and princess balconies than granite countertops and hardwood floors.
The first season will feature a slew of celebs, as well as other families. In addition to the Golden State Warriors star, the lineup includes Ali Landry, whose kids dream of hanging out in a fantasy birdhouse, Law & Order‘s Alana de la Garza, whose youngsters go for a brainy planetarium theme and Ryan Zimmerman of the Washington Nationals, whose daughter dreams of a classic storybook castle.
The designs are a dream, but their execution is often tricky, and transporting of the finished houses (via massive flatbeds and cranes) is a nail biter. If you never thought you’d be on the edge of your seat during a backyard makeover show, think again.
Here’s what to expect: loads of backyard inspiration, some very envious kiddos and a new TLC obsession.
Playhouse Masters premieres Tuesday, August 23 at 10:00 p.m. EST on TLC.
