Airbnb is giving away a terrifying trip that gives new meaning to the phrase “enter, if you dare.”
The popular vacation rental site will offer two lucky (and brave) travelers the chance to stay in Bran Castle (AKA the inspiration for Dracula’s lair) in Transylvania, Romania, and you won’t want to miss a minute of the spooky agenda they have lined up. It gives a whole new meaning to enter
After arriving by horse-drawn carriage, guests will be greeted by Dacre Stoker, the great grand-nephew of Dracula author, Bram Stoker. The younger Stoker will guide guests through the estate, which is full of dimly lit hallways, secret passages and spooky staircases.
The exact same “hearty, blood-enriching meal,” that’s described in the novel will await the guests in the dining room, where Stoker will share some comforting bedtime stories about the real-life Vlad the Impaler and how he became known as Dracula. Afterward you’ll be led to two velvet-trimmed coffins in the Count’s crypt, where you can fall asleep to “the sound of wolves roaming outside the castle walls.”
If your plan is to come covered in silver jewelry or garlic-scented attire, think again. House rules ban the vampire toxins, and kindly request guests not to cross the cutlery and close all curtains before sunrise.
If that’s not creepy enough, keep this last thought in mind: “The count is not a fan of mirror selfies.”
