The HGTV stars went head-to-head to make over two dressing rooms for Kelly Ripa and Ryan Seacrest’s Live guests. With only 48 hours to work their magic (and a super-dark and dreary starting point), the guys had to hustle to create an A-list worthy space.
But unsurprisingly, the 38-year-old twins pulled it off, thanks to their years of decorating know-how and help from New York-based designers Rory Mulholland and Jesse Turek.
Drew was tasked with the Ripa-inspired half of the room, and went with a modern-glam vibe boasting gold wallpaper, colorful chairs and a wall of greenery that Drew calls the “Live” wall (pun intended).
Jonathan’s section pulled in all things Seacrest, complete with a faux-wood and brick walls, deep colors and a marquee sign bearing the hosts’ names.
Although both spaces pull in both Ripa and Seacrest’s personalities, Ripa’s favorite feature is how the two rooms fit together.
“They work well together even though they’re very different,” she says.
