A Property Brothers Christmas
There’s no place like The Property Brothers’ home for the holidays! While HGTV stars Drew and Jonathan Scott are whisking their family and their girlfriends (and their girlfriends’ families!) to Hawaii for Christmas, that doesn’t mean they're cutting back on the decorations at their Las Vegas home. From their gorgeous garland and a 16-foot tree, to their sweet Christmas traditions, here’s how the brothers are getting in the holiday spirit.

A Family Affair
Every part of the 38-year-old twins' palatial home is decked out in greenery, bows and ornaments in a palette of gold and silver. But the main ingredient in a Scott family holiday, they maintain, is “to always have the full family together every Christmas. No matter what,” Drew says. “We have a big family dinner on Christmas Eve and a legendary breakfast the morning after. Our mom is one of the best cooks we know!”

Gag Gift Exchange
Don't expect to find a pile of presents under the HGTV vets impressive tree. The self-described pranksters, always team up with their family for a secret Santa gift and stocking exchange. “Whether it's something handmade, goofy or something we can actually use, we'll sit around the tree Christmas morning to open gifts, share stories and have some of the best laughs we've had all year,” Drew says.

As for the battle of real tree versus faux, both Brothers are on the same page. “Though I love the beauty and aroma of a real tree, the cleanup is a disaster and I don't like cutting down a tree for such a short term use,” Jonathan says. “Our tree in Vegas is 16 feet tall, so we have a gorgeous artificial that acts as the heart of our holiday decor.”
If you do opt for a live evergreen, Drew suggests you, “keep the root system so you can plant it afterwards.”

Spirit of the Season
For Drew and Jonathan, the best gift is giving back. They recently volunteered their efforts following the devastating flooding in New Orleans, and continue to spread good cheer at the holidays.
“My favorite [gift we] give over the holiday season is the food basket we prepare for a family that is less fortunate,” Jonathan says.
