In advance of their new show, Martha and Snoop’s Potluck Dinner Party, which debuts on VH1 November 7, the endearing odd couple cohosts gave Architectural Digest a peek behind the scenes, and the sets, of their series.
This is not your average cooking show setup, instead featuring dual kitchens — one for each host — and decorated in noticeably unique styles. “The idea was to have a split personality kitchen, my side reflecting me and Snoop’s side reflecting Snoop,” Stewart explains in the video tour.
Martha’s kitchen features white subway tile, “faux bois” wallpaper, and metallic accents. “I love your bling, too. Your bling is extraordinary,” Snoop says of her tabletop accessories.
“This year, it’s all about copper,” Martha explains. The material pops up on mixing bowls, sauce pans and even salt and pepper shakers.
In Snoop’s kitchen things get a bit moodier. Glossy black tiles and dark purple cabinetry compliment the rapper’s showpiece: a built-in vertical herb garden. “My herbs are a little bit different than Martha’s,” he says. “They’re from the same family, just a different tree.
“My favorite part is all your golden bling,” Stewart says of Snoop’s realm. “A gold measuring cup, and this is 24 karat gold.”
Martha and Snoop’s Potluck Dinner Party premieres November 7 at 10 p.m. on VH1.
