On this week’s episode of Nate & Jeremiah By Design, interior experts Nate Berkus and Jeremiah Brent find themselves in the midst of a renovation stalemate, with homeowners Alex and Tom unable to make a decision that moves their decorating process forward.

Although their home’s design surely suffers from their indecisiveness, their personal lives are also being put on hold, with Alex displaying her engagement ring on a Buddha above their fireplace as opposed to on her finger.

“I took the engagement ring off, and I’d love to wear it again, I really would, but I’m not putting it back on until we get something done,” she says.

Berkus and Brent both agree that “she’s mad,” and immediately get to work trying to figure out how to get this couple out of their (already $80,000 deep) remodeling rut and down the aisle.

But will making cosmetic changes, like ridding the kitchen of floor tiles that Berkus describes as “actually really ugly,” be enough? Tune into TLC Saturday at 9:00 p.m. to find out.
