Celebrity realtor Fredrik Eklund has a unique property to show off this holiday season that’s totally off the market.
“It really is architecturally accurate!” Eklund writes on his Instagram of the gingerbread house, which perfectly mimics the property’s chimneys, windows and even the landscaping. “My favorite part is the little red Santa on his sled up on the roof!”
What do you guys think about the weekend house in Connecticut as this gingerbread house we made for Christmas? 🎄 My favorite part is the little red Santa on his sled up on the roof! 🎅😂 — I want to thank @teamalmegard for getting me started on making the house, and then finishing it for me with such perfection. It really is architecturally accurate! You are a genius and a true artist. Also, excited about this cookie house being put in the biggest gingerbread house competition in the world, at ArkDes, a competition which @eklundstockholmnewyork is sponsoring, let's hope we win. The proceeds go to charity. Now, just wait until you see what I'll be up to this Christmas… I'll be going all out! 🙃
We woke up in a winter wonderland! I can't believe it, just yesterday the sun was shining, the grass was green and the trees colorful. But at 6:30am when I went to the bathroom, I looked out, and rubbed my eyes to be sure I saw THIS…. It's so incredibly beautiful, I don't think I've ever been happier seeing new snow before. We put on the little winter clothes we have out here, and took the dogs around the grounds covered in snow everywhere. Mini has never seen so much snow, rolling around in it, chewing it and spitting it out, making us laugh. Now I can't WAIT for a white Christmas, so I can get up all the decorations, and I mean everywhere – this year when both our families arrive we can create the most magical (and first) of Holidays in the new house. ❄️☃️🎄🙏
Admittedly, the 39-year-old had help making the impressive treat, complete with holiday decorations and reindeer hoofs up on the housetop. He reached out to Swedish pastry chef and seasoned gingerbread house maker Dorotea Malmegard, who, Eklund writes, finished the edible estate with “such perfection.”

Although the “cookie house” would look right at home in either his weekend getaway or his Tribeca apartment, Eklund plans on entering it in “the biggest gingerbread house competition in the world,” which is sponsored by his real estate brokerage in Stockholm.
This elaborate DIY is proof enough that the holiday spirit is alive and well for Eklund, but just in case you weren’t completely convinced, he promises this: “Now just wait until you see what I’ll be up to this Christmas…I’ll be going all out!”
