Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles‘ Josh Flagg knows a few things about closing a deal. But no contract can compare to the one he sealed in Paris last summer when he proposed to fiance Bobby Boyd.

“Bobby and I are truly over the moon happy,” Flagg told PEOPLE shortly after the proposal. “Very seldom do couples share what Bobby and I share. What makes our partnership complete is we are most importantly best friends. We are both extremely happy and excited for the next chapter.”

Now, the pair are putting the finishing touches on their September 9 nuptials, which will take place at the Beverly Hills Hotel.

“I have a lot of family history at the hotel. My grandparents were regular customers of the hotel and I learned to love it when I was a young child,” Flagg told ET.

Keeping the setting local also means many of their famous friends have made the guest list. MDLLA agents James Harris and David Parnes (who also tied the knot this summer with Adrian Abnosi), Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ Kyle Richards and her husband, real estate CEO Mauricio Umansky, and Real Housewives of New York’s Sonja Morgan will all be in attendance, as well as The Bachelor/Bachelorette jeweler Neil Lane.

The engaged couple didn’t always see eye to eye on the details of their wedding, the celebrity realtor admits. “Bobby wanted a small wedding. I wanted a big one,” Flagg says. “We had to both make compromises. Wedding planning is not an easy task, but when it’s over and the day comes, I plan on it being the best day of my life.”

And when that moment comes, Flagg definitely plans on living it up. “I am very excited. You’re only supposed get married once, so you better appreciate it while you’re doing it,” he says.
