Chrissy Teigen touched down in China yesterday with a very specific itinerary in mind.
“I want to do everything the Real Housewives did, except make Erika sad,” she tweeted, referring to the Beverly Hills cast’s visit to Hong Kong and the ill-fated “junk boat” ride after which Jayne ended up in tears. The singer replied telling Teigen to “Enjoy!”
Teigen, who’s expecting her second child, a boy, with husband John Legend, arrived in Shenzhen before heading to Hong Kong. “Hi China!! One more flight!” she tweeted. “Oh man how do people do this with two babies or more. True heroes.”
If she’s committed to doing Hong Kong the RHOBH way, there are a few stops the Lip Sync Battle co-host should definitely make:
The ladies also visited the city’s highest peak. The best way up? The 150-year-old Peak Tram, a funicular with incredible — and sometimes vertigo-inducing — views of the city’s skyscrapers.
And of course, any RHOBH fan should go for a sail on a junk boat. Despite its name, a ride on the classic wooden vessels with red sails can offer a pretty high-end experience — from a quick tour of Victoria Harbor, to a full dim sum brunch on deck, offered by luxury cruise companies.
Teigen had a more traumatic trip to Asia last month, when she spent eight hours on a “flight to nowhere.” Four hours into a journey from Los Angeles to Tokyo, the plane crew discovered a passenger who was not supposed to be on board, and had to turn back. True to form, the supermodel documented the whole thing on social media, noting that the airline put her in a room with a TV to keep her quiet, where she watched, what else? Real Housewives.
“I have been moved to a room with Bravo. Clearly the authorities are trying to keep me quiet so I don’t BLOW THE LID OFF THIS ‘SITCH,’” she joked.
