Boo-zy Punch Recipes to Mix Up at Your Halloween Party

With Halloween nearly two weeks away, party planning is in full swing for those who love to celebrate the spooky holiday.

From costumes to candy and all of the sweet treats in between, there’s one thing you can’t skimp on: festive drinks. Mary Giuliani, celebrity event planner and the author of The Cocktail Party, created these three easy punch recipes (for children or adults) to throw together even while in the midst of party prep.

To spice up the drinks for grown ups, Giuliani offers the best liquor to take each mocktail to cocktail, allowing party planners to customize their punch.

Blood Sucker
Makes 5 quarts

1 gallon beet juice
1 cup fresh lime juice
Handful of fresh mint

For Adults: Add vodka for a little howl.

1. Mix all ingredients in a punch bowl and serve.

Hocus Pocus Potion
Makes 5 quarts

1 gallon pomegranate juice
4 sliced apples
Seeds of 1 pomegranate
1 cup fresh lime juice
1 liter sparkling water or club soda

For Adults: Add Aperol and brandy for an extra spook.

1. Mix all ingredients in a punch bowl and serve.

4 sliced apples (red and green)
2 sliced pears
1 tsp. ground cinnamon

For Adults: Add bourbon for a not-so-scary kick.
