The world’s first Nutella cafe is opening in Chicago on May 31.
This will be the company’s first owned and operated restaurant, where customers will be able to stop in and enjoy everything from crepes filled with the spread to waffles topped off with it to Nutella-stuffed cookie sandwiches.
Other items like freshly baked croissants, oatmeal, granola, and yogurt come filled and topped with the hazelnut spread. And panini sandwiches, salads, and savory crepes — all without Nutella — are inspired by the origins of Nutella, Noah Szporn, Ferrero’s vice president of marketing, told the Chicago Tribune.
Nutella also inspired the dripping chocolate décor on the walls and hazelnut plant lights hanging from the ceiling. The café is a bit like walking into a giant jar of Nutella.
“We wanted to create a world of Nutella for our fans that could truly capture the essence of the brand — not just in the dishes that will be served, but in the full experience from the moment you step into the space,” Szporn said in a statement.

There will also be a variety of gelato flavors you can top with Nutella, fruits, and whipped cream, or even a Nutella fondue fountain.
The café, located just a block from Millennium Park, will open at 10 a.m. on May 31.
