Amy Thielen’s Banana & Apple Butter Smoothies
1 cup plain whole-milk yogurt
1 large ripe banana, sliced and frozen, plus more for topping
6 dried Medjool dates, pitted
2 tbsp. apple butter
6 large ice cubes
Pinch of kosher salt
Miniature chocolate chips, for topping
Process yogurt, frozen banana slices, dates, apple butter, ice cubes and salt in a blender until smooth. Pour mixture evenly into 2 glasses. Top with more banana slices and chocolate chips, if desired.

Food Hack! Place sliced bananas, dates, ice and salt in individual ziplock bags and freeze for up to 6 months. Blend the frozen ingredients with yogurt and apple butter when ready to serve.
