Three women, including two 40-year-olds and a 15-year-old, were found dead in a home in Rancho Santa Fe, California on Monday, PEOPLE has learned.
According to a press release from the San Diego Sheriff’s Department, authorities were called to the residence about 26 miles north of San Diego after a 911 caller reported possible child abuse in the home. Upon arrival, no one answered the deputies’ knocks.
At that point, the officers performed a perimeter check of the home, before noticing through an exterior window that a woman was laid out on the floor. Following their discovery, the deputies forced their way into the home, where they found two other women dead “with obvious signs of trauma.”
“Based on the initial evidence, detectives do not believe there are any outstanding suspects in this case,” the release states.
The bodies were turned over to the San Diego County Medical Examiner to determine the cause and manner of death, and also confirm the identities of the victims.
Police have not released the names of the dead, as they’re working to notify the next of kin.
Their investigation is ongoing and they’ve offered a maximum $1,000 award for information that leads to an arrest.
